My work sits where engineering meets trust: OAuth2 and passkeys, KYC and identity verification, disaster recovery, and the automation that catches problems before customers do. 💼Work Experience

Tech Team Lead - Web Platform Fullstack

Deriv

July 2024 - Present

  • Lead a team of 6 engineers including 2 tech leads, and own SLOs and SLIs for client-facing trading applications.
  • Built and launched Deriv's mobile app from scratch, taking it from zero to 500K+ installs and 50K daily active users.
  • Completed and released the DWallet programme to production as TradersHub, finishing work I had previously led on the frontend.
  • Built the authentication platform end to end: OAuth2 with public clients (OpenID Connect) rolled out across 7 applications, plus passkeys, MFA (TOTP), trusted-device flows, and mobile app integrity verification.
  • Built CI automation across the software delivery lifecycle, carrying work from requirement through to opened pull request.
  • Built automated monitoring and alerting over user data that surfaces skew and anomalies to the business before they reach customers.
  • Architected and led the disaster recovery solution for Deriv applications, running the design sessions and driving implementation across teams.
  • Led development of an AI-assisted KYC solution for proof of identity and proof of address, cutting manual review from the onboarding path.
